Management Team

Dr. Tolga Kurt – Founder & CEO

Dr. Kurt brings more than 10 years of leadership skills, business acumen, and global expertise on GISbased optimization software development, product management, research and development. As CEO, he oversees the daily operations of the company and is responsible for strategic planning, execution and overall business operations and results.

Prior to establihing PlusOneMinusOne, the majority of his career was spent in the telecommunications industry. After relocating to Turkey, he worked at AirTies Wireless Networks as Director of Research where he held various management positions throughout his tenure, and Ericsson as Manager of Wimax product line. He has been responsible for various multi-million dollar software development projects and directed international optimization as well as services projects.

Dr. Kurt, received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Bogazici University and Ph.D. from University of Ottawa-Canada, all in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He is also an adjunct professor & advisory board member at Bogazici University, and member of McGill Executive Club. Dr. Kurt has more than 40 papers published in the areas of Telecommunication, Optimization and GIS and author of 6 patents and recently received the award for Young Entrepreneur of the year 2012 in Turkey.

Yeliz Okutan Ergün

As Strategy and Business Development Director of P1M1, Ergun provides overall leadership and business strategy for P1M1’S business solutions, services, products and partners. Ergun brings a unique blend of finance and business strategy development experience to her position where she is primarily responsible for the activities related to identify business opportunities.

Her  vision and leadership help ensure that our customers worldwide can cost-effectively create, deliver and deploy new products and services or advance their existing processes in an optimized manner. With deep technology and domain expertise embodied in our Solutions Team, these end-to-end solutions support our customers’ businesses and operations including operational cost reduction, business efficiency, revenue management, decision support platforms for revenue recognition and expense forecasting processes.

Prior to joining P1M1, Ergun began her professional career doing financial control and accounting related activities as Budget and Reporting Specialist in the oil and energy industry. She then led the international growth of a leading contributor in the cement industry through marketing strategy formulation, development and execution.

Ergun holds a Bachelors degree from Bilkent University and an Executive MBA from Middle Eastern Technical University.

Barış Göral

As the Manager of the Software Development Team, Goral is responsible for P1M1’s engineering function, directing projects in all stages of engineering planning, design and maintenance. Managing a team of distinguished software development engineers working on different assignments, Goral is also responsible for platform releases as well as key new services establishing the vision and roadmap for the services development environment.

As a recognized expert in the industry, Goral previously held senior level software architect and engineering positions in companies operating in the software industry, specifically those that acquired world standards on the subjects of Geographical Information Systems with the WMS, WFS, SFS certificates from Open Geospatial Consortium.

Working towards his Project Management Professional certification (PMP®), Goral received his Bachelors and Masters Of Science degrees in Geodetic and Photogrammetric Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and participated in various academic articles.

Arman Boyacı

Arman Boyacı brings a wealth of talent and expertise to his position as the Manager of Operational Research Team, where his primary responsibilities include creation of cost effective scalable systems and ensuring development of innovative algorithm solutions.

Boyacı joined P1M1 while continuing his studies at Boğaziçi University as a graduate student in Industrial Engineering. His interests mainly focus on Combinatorial Optimization, Graph Theory and Algorithms and Its Applications as well as Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition. The Operational Research Team consists of trained and experienced engineers in optimization algorithms, deterministic and stochastic modeling, operations research methodologies, statistics and simulation. The research group is part of the “Solutions Team”.

Boyacı holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Galatasaray University and an MS in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University where he is currently pursuing with his dissertation.

Dilge Doğan

With years of experience in the software industry, Doğan has spent the majority of her career in the human resources field assisting companies in their start-up stages to evolve and grow into later stages and designing strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives and deliver results.

As the Director of Organizational Development, Doğan directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, organization-wide policies and procedures, prioritizing organizational efforts and resources toward development and training activities that are critical to P1M1’s vision, culture, values, and strategic priorities.

Dogan is a member of Human Resources Professionals Association in Ontario (HRPAO), Canada. She holds a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management from York University, Canada and a Masters of Science in Organizational Behaviour from University of London, United Kingdom

Doğukan Çavdar

 As Product Line Manager, Cavdar interfaces with the industry by means of product managers and ensures that the product line is appropriately communicated to the market. In the same vein, he forsees the management, planning and controlling of the product life cycle, has to plan the pilot projects, the domain engineering project, as well as the maintenance and evolution projects — A vision beyond ordinary, and a thrust to transform it into reality..

Prior to joining P1M1, Cavdar spent his professional career in telecommunications industry in USA. He started his career at Sprint Nextel as RF Optimization Engineer in tri-state area. Then, he joined Ericsson US where leading network optimization projects in different states was his main responsibility. Cavdar then joined AT&T Mobility in New York, NY as Sr. RAN Specialist.

Cavdar holds his Bachelors degree from Bilkent University and Masters degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology, NJ, USA both in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He also has 2 papers published in IEEE and IET.
