Dr. Tolga Kurt – Founder & CEO
Dr. Kurt brings more than 10 years of leadership skills, business acumen, and global expertise on GIS based optimization software development, product management, research and development. As CEO, he oversees the daily operations of the company and is responsible for strategic planning, execution and overall business operations and results.
Prior to establihing PlusOneMinusOne, the majority of his career was spent in the telecommunications industry. After relocating to Turkey, he worked at AirTies Wireless Networks as Director of Research where he held various management positions throughout his tenure, and Ericsson as Manager of Wimax product line. He has been responsible for various multi-million dollar software development projects and directed international optimization as well as services projects.
Dr. Kurt, received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Bogazici University
and Ph.D. from University of Ottawa-Canada, all in Electronic and Electrical
Engineering. He is also an adjunct professor & advisory board member at
Bogazici University, and member of McGill Executive Club. Dr. Kurt has more
than 40 papers published in the areas of Telecommunication, Optimization and
GIS and author of 6 patents.
Prof. Dr. Emin Anarım – Cofounder
Dr. Anarım received his B.Sc. (First Class, Honours) and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Boğaziçi University -Istanbul, Turkey. After spending 17 years in Turkish Air Force Army as an officer, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, where he is presently a full-time professor. His current research interests are in the field of Mobile Communications, Image and Video Sequence Coding Signal Processing, Software Quality Measurements, Cryptology, Computer and Network Security, Watermarking.
He has published more than 160 papers carrying his name have appeared in various journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Emin Anarım is also presently an adjunct Professor of George Washington University. He has given several courses to industry and government institutions on Signal Processing and Video Coding and Secure Telecommunications.
